Compressor dehumidifiers in this guide quote 10, 12 or 20 litres at a warm, wet laboratory point, then extract much less below about 10 °C. The EcoAir DD1 Simple MK3 is a desiccant: a heated rotor that adsorbs moisture. EcoAir rates it at 7.5 litres per day at 20 °C and 60 % RH. That cooler test point is why 7.5 L here is not a smaller machine than a 12 L compressor in any simple sense. Operating range is 1–35 °C. The 1 °C floor is the reason this page exists.

In a heated flat this is usually the wrong spend: you would be paying desiccant watts for a job a quieter compressor can do. In a utility that sits at 5 °C, a porch, a stone-floored pantry or a holiday home that is only warmed at weekends, the DD1 is the machine whose published range still includes the room. The larger EcoAir DD3 Classic MK3 is the same logic at 11 L for a larger cold volume. Brand guidance on that model reaches about 90 m², with a digital display and a 4.2 L tank, if the cold space is a whole house rather than a room.
